Full Time | $31.00 / hr

Garda World, one of the nation's largest cash services and armored truck companies, is seeking an automotive technician. Selected candidates will perform preventive maintenance service and general vehicle repairs. The ideal candidate must be able to work independently and have knowledge and experience with hydraulic and air brakes, air conditioning, gas and diesel engines, drive trains and electrical systems. ASE certification is not required but recommended.

Mechanics must provide their own hand tools. Starting pay is dependent upon experience.

• Perform preventive maintenance and general vehicle repairs.

• Work independently and diagnose vehicle mechanical problems.

• Use knowledge of hydraulic systems, brakes, air conditioning, engines, transmissions, drive trains and electrical systems.

• A minimum of 3 years previous Mechanic's experience in a vehicle repair shop is preferred.
• A high level of technical knowledge in vehicle systems, including power plant, transmission, drive-train, brakes, electrical, and air conditioning.
• Demonstrated ability to diagnose vehicle mechanical problems and perform effective repairs.
• Ability to communicate verbally and in writing.
• Ability to function efficiently with minimal supervision.
• A valid driver’s license is required.
