Job Description
This position reports to the Assistant Director, Operations and Events. The Event Management Specialist is a key member of the Event Management team and coordinates event services with University Service departments and outside vendors. The role maintains professional relationships within the Boston College community (students and staff) and assists external clients and vendors. Under the supervision of the Assistant Director, Operations and Events, the specialist will collaborate with the team to coordinate and execute campus services that ensure the success of events at the University, servicing students, faculty, staff, and external clients.
Responsibilities- Coordinate event services with University Service departments and outside vendors.
- Maintain professional relationships with students, staff, faculty, and external clients.
- Collaborate with the Event Management team to execute campus services for events.
- Assist in ensuring the success of events by managing logistical support and service delivery.
- Bachelor’s degree required, with previous experience in event planning preferred.
- Certified Meeting Professional (CMP), and/or Collegiate Conference and Events Program (CCEP) designation preferred, but not required.
- 1-4 years’ experience (full-time hiring range: $61,040 - $76,300).
