Civil Construction Estimator Needed for One of New England’s Premier Sitework Contractors!

Salary $160,000 - $225,000 per year

Established over 50 years ago and headquartered in Brockton, MA, we are one of the East Coast’s most experienced and well-regarded full-service site development contractors specializing in deep hole excavation, site development, utility installation, and roadway construction across New England and beyond. With one of the largest in-house equipment fleets in the region and four affiliate divisions, we provide fully integrated site preparation and civil services on complex, high-impact projects.

• Review all bid documents including drawings, specifications, pricing, bonds, insurance, and reporting requirements
• Prepare complete estimates covering all scopes of work for heavy civil and site development projects
• Perform detailed scope reviews with general contractors and stakeholders
• Estimate approximately one to two projects per week
• Coordinate with project managers to transition awarded projects into kickoff meetings
• Support project managers as needed through project closeout
• Analyze specialty trades, subcontractor pricing, and vendor quotes
• Ensure estimates are accurate, competitive, and aligned with project strategy

• 3+ years of estimating experience in site work and heavy civil construction
• Combination of office and field experience totaling at least five years
• Proven experience bidding work in dense urban environments and surrounding suburbs
• Strong understanding of utilities, contaminated soils, and full scope site development
• High attention to detail with strong mathematical and analytical skills
• Ability to collaborate with project managers, vendors, and clients
• Flexibility with time commitments including occasional weekend work

• Degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related discipline
• Experience estimating projects in downtown Boston markets
• Familiarity with CAD based takeoffs
• Experience using Primavera or Microsoft Project
• Prior use of Construction Link or similar estimating platforms
