Position: Senior Project Manager / Project Executive - Structural Steel

Senior Project Manager / Project Executive – Structural Steel

We are seeking an experienced Senior Project Manager / Project Executive to oversee large-scale structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects from preconstruction through completion. This is a senior leadership position responsible for project strategy, financial performance, client relationships, and overall execution.

Key Responsibilities
  • Provide senior-level oversight of multiple structural steel and miscellaneous metals projects.
  • Lead and mentor Project Managers, Superintendents, and field teams.
  • Develop project execution strategies, schedules, staffing plans, and workflows.
  • Oversee project budgets, forecasting, cost control, change orders, and profitability.
  • Coordinate with engineering, fabrication, procurement, and field operations.
  • Monitor project schedules, fabrication progress, material procurement, and overall production.
  • Maintain strong relationships with owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and other key stakeholders.
  • Identify and manage project risks, delays, and operational challenges.
  • Ensure projects meet company standards for safety, quality, schedule, and financial performance.
  • Oversee QA/QC, project documentation, and final project closeout.
  • Provide executive-level reporting and updates on project performance.
Qualifications
  • 10+ years of construction management experience
  • Significant experience with structural steel, steel erection, miscellaneous metals, or heavy industrial construction
  • Proven experience managing large-scale projects and/or multiple projects simultaneously
  • Strong understanding of project financials, scheduling, contracts, and risk management
  • Strong leadership and team management skills
  • Experience with Procore, Bluebeam, MS Project, or similar software preferred
  • AISC/AWS knowledge preferred
  • Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or related field preferred
  • OSHA 30 preferred
  • Ability to travel to project sites as needed
