Job Description

We are offering a long-term contract employment opportunity for a Customer Service Representative in New Bedford, Massachusetts. The role involves working in a dynamic environment, handling customer inquiries and ensuring smooth coordination with various departments. This role is critical to maintaining high standards of customer service and efficiency in our operations.

Responsibilities
  • Respond promptly and professionally to customer inquiries, primarily via email but also over the phone.
  • Accurately process sales orders in a timely manner.
  • Serve as a liaison, working collaboratively with various departments to provide optimal service to customers and partners.
  • Provide customers with pricing and delivery information.
  • Maintain an organized and efficient system for managing customer credit applications.
  • Keep accurate records of customer interactions and transactions.
  • Use your knowledge of ERP systems, specifically SAP, to manage and analyze customer data.
  • Utilize Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel, for data management and reporting.
  • Prioritize tasks effectively to meet deadlines and achieve customer service objectives.
  • Use CRM systems to manage customer relationships and track customer interactions.
Qualifications
  • Proficiency in answering inbound and outbound calls.
  • Proven experience in customer service roles.
  • Demonstrated ability to perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently.
  • Proficiency in email correspondence and scheduling appointments.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word.
  • Experience in order entry is required.
  • Familiarity with SAP and CRM systems.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong problem‑solving abilities.
  • Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.
  • High attention to detail.
  • Ability to work in a team‑oriented environment.
  • Flexibility to work in shifts if required.
  • High school diploma or equivalent educational qualification required. Higher qualification in a related field would be an advantage.
