As a Graphic Designer, Licensing, you'll help bring some of the world's most recognizable brands to life across RMS's diverse product categories. Working closely with our Design, Product Development, Sales, and Licensing teams, you'll create retail-ready packaging and product graphics that meet both RMS's creative standards and our licensors' brand expectations.

Position OverviewThe Graphic Designer, Licensing is responsible for creating production-ready packaging, product graphics, and marketing assets for licensed consumer products across all RMS USA product categories. This role owns assigned projects from concept through final production while ensuring every design aligns with RMS standards, licensor style guides, retailer requirements, and production specifications.
Success in this role requires exceptional attention to detail, strong packaging design skills, creativity within established brand guidelines, and the ability to manage multiple licensed properties simultaneously.
What You'll DoLicensed Product Design- Design retail packaging, product graphics, displays, inserts, sales presentations, nd eCommerce, assets for licensed consumer products across RMS's diverse portfolio.
- Interpret and execute licensor style guides while maintaining RMS's high standards for creativity, quality, and innovation.
- Create compelling product graphics that accurately represent licensed brands while maximizing shelf appeal and consumer engagement.
- Ensure all licensed artwork complies with brand guidelines, approval requirements, and retailer specifications.
- Support artwork submissions, revisions, and approvals by incorporating licensor feedback accurately and efficiently.
- Contribute creative ideas that strengthen RMS's relationships with existing licensors and support future licensing opportunities.
- Prepare production-ready artwork, including dielines, color corrections, bleeds, spot colors, and print specifications.
- Execute high-quality packaging, displays, inserts, and digital assets from concept through final production.
- Maintain organized digital assets, artwork libraries, and production files.
- Create mockups, presentations, and concept boards for internal reviews, retailer meetings, and licensing presentations.
- Ensure artwork meets quality, safety, compliance, and production standards.
- Collaborate with Design, Product Development, Sales, Purchasing, and Packaging teams throughout product development.
- Work closely with Senior Designers and Lead Designers to execute creative direction across multiple licensed brands.
- Participate in creative reviews by presenting ideas and incorporating feedback.
- Research design trends, retail packaging, and licensed consumer products to inspire new concepts.
- Support a collaborative team environment through knowledge sharing, communication, and creative problem-solving.
- Strong understanding of typography, color, layout, and retail packaging design.
- Ability to work creatively within established licensor style guides while maintaining product originality and commercial appeal.
- Strong appreciation for brand consistency and attention to detail when designing licensed products.
- Ability to translate creative direction into engaging consumer product packaging.
- Passion for toys, consumer products, entertainment brands, and retail trends.
- Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite.
- Strong understanding of packaging design, print production, dielines, and color management.
- Experience preparing accurate production-ready artwork.
- Ability to manage multiple SKUs and projects simultaneously.
- Excellent organizational and file management skills.
- Excellent communication and time management skills.
- Ability to balance multiple priorities in a fast-paced product development environment.
- Comfortable receiving and implementing feedback from internal teams and external licensors.
- Positive attitude with a collaborative, solution-oriented mindset.
- Bachelor's degree in Graphic Design or related field (or equivalent experience).
- 2–5 years of professional graphic design experience, preferably in consumer products, packaging, or retail.
- Experience working with licensed consumer products or established brand style guides is preferred.
- Experience designing for mass retail environments is a plus.
