SUBJECT:
After-School Grant Activity Support Staff - (ASOST Grant- & GVP Grant)
The following position(s) are open to all interested personnel. This position is grant funded through the FY26 After School and Out-of-School Time (ASOST) Grant and the Gun Violence Prevention Grant. Program Overview
Brockton Public Schools operates after-school programming designed to support students' academic success, social-emotional development, and overall well-being in a safe and structured environment.
Through the ASOST Lift Up Academy program and the Gun Violence Prevention initiative, students are provided with enrichment activities, mentoring, academic support, structured recreation, and programming that promotes positive decision-making, conflict resolution, and community safety.
After-School Support Staff play a key role in assisting with the implementation of daily activities across both grant initiatives, helping to create a safe, engaging, and supportive after-school environment aligned with ASOST and GVP program goals.

Qualifications

* Open to all staff

* Experience working with elementary- or middle-school-aged students preferred

* Ability to support structured programming and student supervision

* Strong communication, collaboration, and relationship-building skills

* No licensure required
Responsibilities

* Support the implementation of after-school enrichment, mentoring, and prevention-focused activities funded through ASOST and GVP

* Assist with student supervision during academic, recreational, and enrichment periods

* Help maintain a safe, inclusive, and structured environment that promotes positive behavior and conflict resolution

* Support student engagement through relationship-building and mentorship

* Assist program leads with activity preparation, setup, and cleanup

* Communicate regularly with program staff regarding student participation and needs

* Support attendance tracking and required documentation to ensure compliance with ASOST and GVP grant requirements
Compensation

* The grant will fund nine (9) positions at a stipend of $2,440 each.

* Compensation reflects work completed outside the regular school day during scheduled after-school program hours
