PART-TIME PRACTICAL NURSE INSTRUCTOR DAY PROGRAM
Bristol-Plymouth Regional Technical School is seeking a part‑time (0.5 FTE) practical nurse instructor for the day program. This position requires classroom, lab, and simulation teaching in the full day program and staff coverage for the evening program as needed.
Requirements
- Registration:
Hold a current Massachusetts Registered Nurse license in good standing. - Certification:
Candidate must have or be working toward a Professional Licensure from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. - Education:
Baccalaureate degree in nursing from an accredited college or university. Master’s degree in nursing preferred. - Experience:
At least two years of full‑time nursing experience within the last five years, with evidence of clinical competence in the areas of clinical instruction.
Responsibilities
- Instruct, supervise, and evaluate students in nursing courses under the supervision of the program coordinator, in accordance with the philosophy and objectives of the school.
- Assume responsibility for assigned courses, including development and maintenance of all course materials—syllabus, outline, test construction, and analysis.
- Participate in governance of the parent institution and monthly faculty meetings for program and student progress evaluation.
- Provide clinical supervision for up to ten practical nurse students per clinical group in clinical agencies.
- Develop and maintain a safe classroom environment conducive to effective learning, employing a variety of instructional techniques to meet the needs of all students.
- Assist in evaluating program effectiveness according to the Systematic Evaluation Plan (SEP) and communicate regularly with other nursing instructors for program consistency.
- Perform other duties as assigned by the Nursing Programs Coordinator.
Pay range: $50,692 – $119,014, depending on nursing and Chapter 74 experience.

Qualifications
- Education:
High School Diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business preferred. - Experience:
Minimum of three years of related accounting or bookkeeping experience, including accounts payable/receivable and clerical duties. School business office experience preferred. - Skills:
Strong organization and communication; proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, and accounting software (experience with Infinite Visions preferred); knowledge of Massachusetts municipal/school accounting procedures desirable; ability to handle confidential information independently.
Pay Rate:
Base hourly rate $25/hour, may be higher depending on experience and education.
