Associate Principal of Early College Curriculum and Instruction
New Heights Charter School of Brockton – Brockton, Massachusetts. Starting date:

New Heights Charter School is Massachusetts’ only public school that involves all grades (6‑12) in the Early College approach. Nearly all 11th and 12th‑graders are full‑time students on a college campus, and younger students earn college credits at the school. We provide academic and social‑emotional support to young people from high‑need backgrounds, ensuring they are college and career‑ready. We support staff with professional development and coaching.
As a member of the Early College Team (grades 11‑12), this position will take a lead role in the development and fine‑tuning of curriculum, instructional protocols and procedures, observations and evaluations, school policies, and enrichment activities. Reporting to the Assistant Executive Director, the Associate Principal will assist in the overall administration of educational programs by overseeing the implementation of a high‑level, standards‑based instructional program and learning environment from high school through early college.
The AP promotes close working relationships with parents, students, and staff and keeps the AED informed of emerging issues.

Instructional Leadership- Design and implement engaging, student‑centered curriculum and instructional practices for grades 11‑12 that increase participation, motivation, and academic success among disengaged and at‑risk learners
- Lead the implementation of an innovative credit recovery program that combines competency‑based learning, individualized support, and data‑driven interventions to improve graduation outcomes
- Assist the Early College Leaders in providing exemplary leadership to the school community to achieve outstanding performance in preparing each student for college
- Assist in developing and communicating strategic school systems, culture, and vision, and building a plan to achieve that vision
- Assist in leading all aspects of Data‑Driven Instruction, Professional Development, Observation & Feedback
- Assist in implementing effective assessment systems and using data to inform decisions; curriculum development and assessment; ensuring consistency and alignment with state standards
- Assist in providing school‑wide leadership and assist the AED in district‑related responsibilities
- Conduct daily teacher observations and provide real‑time feedback to move the needle on student achievement in conjunction with grade‑level and instructional leaders
- Assist in ensuring all faculty provide well‑managed and rigorous daily lessons, reasonable homework, and productive after‑school tutoring
- Assist the AED in holding teachers accountable for meeting a high bar for student performance, including special education accommodations and IEP modifications in partnership with the Special Education Team
