Job Description

Saint Columbkille Partnership School, located in the Brighton neighborhood of Boston, educates students from kindergarten through Grade
8. Founded in 1901 by the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Boston and re-established in 2006 as the Laboratory School for Boston College’s Lynch School of Education and Human Development, it partners closely with the Archdiocese and Saint Columbkille Parish.

Our mission is to be a community of families, educators, and partners inspired by Gospel values. We are committed to teaching children of all backgrounds in an environment that cultivates respect, mutuality, and care, rooted in the Roman Catholic tradition.

Saint Columbkille Partnership School is currently seeking a full‑time middle school Spanish and religion teacher for the 2026‑2027 school year.

Responsibilities
  • Plan and implement engaging and effective lessons.
  • Ensure religion lessons align with the curriculum sponsored by the Archdiocese of Boston Catholic Schools Office and the USCCB.
  • Use formative and summative assessments, including NWEA MAP, to determine students’ mastery of objectives.
  • Understand and support the unique strengths and needs of each student.
  • Use the FACTS student information system for attendance, grading, and communication.
  • Communicate effectively with parents regarding their child’s progress.
  • Collaborate with the middle school team, academic coaches, student support team, and school leadership.
  • Advance the mission of the school through active participation in a faculty committee.
  • Support the faith formation of students and accompany them in faith formation experiences.
  • Create a safe and joyful learning environment.
  • Contribute to the school’s positive, welcoming culture.
Qualifications
  • Commitment to the school’s Catholic mission and identity.
  • Knowledge of Catholicism, Catholic theology, and Catholic social teaching.
  • Ability to use instructional technology.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.
  • Experience as a Catholic religion teacher.
  • Experience as a Spanish teacher.
  • Fluency in the Spanish language.

Compensation: $44,000‑$70,000 annually, commensurate with experience, education, and internal equity.
