Developmental Inclusion Coach – Elementary
Qualifications- Three or more years of successful teaching experience.
- Appropriate licensure in Special Education from DESE.
- Strong organizational and excellent oral and written communication skills.
- Specialized knowledge of the current principles and techniques of educating students with intellectual disabilities in substantially separate classrooms.
- Extensive knowledge of severe disabilities and experience supporting students with a wide range of educational and social/emotional needs.
- Facilitate and monitor the provision of curriculum for students placed in developmental substantially separate classrooms.
- Work with teachers and support staff in developmental substantially separate elementary classrooms to ensure ongoing professional development and maintain training data.
- Support teachers in developing best practices and provide ongoing classroom set up, design, and structure support.
- Collaborate with Coordinators, Building Administrators, and Assistant Directors of Special Education to ensure students have access to inclusive opportunities.
- Partner with teachers, support staff, and Special Education Coordinators to develop classroom management plans to support student growth.
- Provide ongoing professional development, coaching, and modeling to teachers and support staff.
- Work hours:
8:45 a.m. – 3:30 p.m.
Compensation: According to contract
