Dates of ESY Program:
July 6 to August 6 (Times vary depending on position)
Location:
Kennedy Elementary.
- Special Education Teachers (8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) – up to 30 teachers. Preference for teachers experienced in working with students with autism spectrum disorder, emotional impairments, city resource room, life skills, and integrated teachers.
- Paraprofessionals (8:45 a.m.– 1:15 p.m.) – up to 90, including 1:1. Preference for paraprofessionals with experience at the Pre‑K/K level in substantially separate and integrated classrooms.
- Related Service Providers (8:30 a.m. – 1:30 p.m.) – 2 BCBA; 1 Therapeutic Support; 1 SLP/SLPA; 1 OT/OTA; 1 Adapted Phys Ed Teacher.
- Work schedule:
Teachers and related service providers: up to 22 days, 5 hrs/day;
Support staff: 21 days, 4.5 hrs/day. All staff must have an updated CORI on file and may be required to complete lifting & toileting duties. - Teacher preparation and planning hours must be approved by the ESY Coordinator.
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa required.
- Relevant experience as listed above (special education experience, paraprofessional or service provider experience).
