DescriptionThe Department of Romance Languages and Literatures at Boston College invites applications for the following part‑time instructional positions for the 2026–2027 academic year:
- Instructors of elementary and intermediate Spanish
- Instructors of advanced Spanish
Applicants must demonstrate native or near‑native proficiency in Spanish and hold an M.A. or Ph.D. in Second Language Acquisition, Applied Linguistics, Foreign Language Education, Spanish Literature and/or Culture, or a related field. Each position carries a teaching load of up to two language sections per semester.
Application InstructionsApplications should include a brief cover letter, curriculum vitae, and two confidential letters of recommendation. Applicants should indicate in the cover letter whether they are applying to teach elementary and intermediate Spanish or advanced Spanish. These are a part‑time, non‑benefited positions for the Fall 2026 and/or Spring 2027 semesters. Courses meet on Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays. Compensation is $8,055 per course.
