In addition, Massasoit provides non‑credit workforce development certificates, corporate training opportunities, adult basic education, and personal enrichment courses. Each year, the College welcomes a diverse body of new and returning students, including high school students seeking to earn college credit through dual enrollment partnerships.
More than half of Massasoit's students identify as students of color, and more than half are first generation to attend college. Approximately 700 students annually earn an associate degree or certificate, advancing their educational and career goals.
Located in Brockton, Massachusetts - a vibrant and diverse city of approximately 105,000 residents - Massasoit's main campus reflects and celebrates the community it serves. The College also operates a campus in Canton, a satellite location in Middleborough, and serves students from more than 45 cities and towns across southeastern Massachusetts.
Job Description:Accepting Applications for Academic Year
Adjunct or part time teaching assignments include in‑person day courses for general population as well as for Massasoit's Early College Program and include opportunities at local high schools. Professors work collaboratively to create a learner centered environment focused on student learning and success. Teaching approaches are expected to include active and collaborative techniques and real‑world applications related to composition and literature.
Responsibilities and Duties:- Create a community of learners
- Plan and implement active and collaborative learning and assessment
- Provide consistent feedback
- Evaluate achievement
- Maintain student records of attendance, participation, grades, etc.
- Work collaboratively with divisional staff
- Monitor email communications from students and the college, and respond in a timely manner
- Participate in instructional development and orientation, department, early college, and college wide activities.

Requirements:- Master's degree in Communications, or closely aligned field with radio and podcasting production, or an appropriate level of experience and training.
- Experience with and understanding of the community college environment.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Capable of maintaining academic standards with empathy and honesty.
- Knowledge of and experience using effective pedagogical strategies.
Position Status: MCCC/MTA position
Semester:
Academic Year Fall 2026-Spring 2027
Salary: $1,512.00 per credit, consistent with the DCE Collective Bargaining Agreement. If hired for the position mid‑semester, the salary will be pro‑rated based on the number of weeks left in the semester.
Worksite:
Assignments may include all Massasoit sites and partner high schools.
