New Heights Charter School is Massachusetts’ only public Early College school, serving students in grades 6‑12. We provide a supportive, college‑ready environment for high‑need students and are seeking a dedicated, creative math teacher to work with middle‑school students.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
- Plan, prepare and deliver lesson plans and instructional materials that facilitate active learning during core content, elective, and advisory periods.
- Use technology to support and differentiate instruction.
- Maintain a safe, orderly, and supportive classroom by establishing routines and rituals.
- Encourage, monitor, and provide feedback on the progress of individual students, using information to adjust teaching strategies.
- Maintain accurate and complete grade books and other anecdotal records of students’ academic and behavioral progress.
- Communicate consistently with parents regarding student progress and behavior through phone or electronic means and at parent and teacher conferences.
- Participate in department and school meetings, instructional coaching sessions, parent conferences, and leadership opportunities.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
- Advanced knowledge of mathematics.
- Ability to establish and maintain cooperative and effective working relationships with others.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
- Reliable punctuality and regular attendance.
- Proficiency with technology (e.g., Google Classroom, Zoom).
Position Type:
Full‑time
Salary: $50,000 to $104,000 per year
Job Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree (required).
- State of Massachusetts teaching license.
- SEI endorsement.
- At least 3 years of relevant experience (preferred).
- Master’s degree (preferred).
- Citizenship, residency, or work visa (required).

New Heights has a competitive teacher pay scale: $50,000 for a Bachelor’s holder, $60,000 for a Master’s holder, and $65,000 for a Doctorate holder.
