More than half of Massasoit's students identify as students of color, and more than half are first generation to attend college. Approximately 700 students annually earn an associate degree or certificate, advancing their educational and career goals.
Located in Brockton, Massachusetts - a vibrant and diverse city of approximately 105,000 residents - Massasoit's main campus reflects and celebrates the community it serves. The College also operates a campus in Canton, a satellite location in Middleborough, and serves students from more than 45 cities and towns across southeastern Massachusetts.

We are seeking an Adult Critical Care Clinical Instructor in Respiratory Care. The clinical instructor will provide clinical instruction and direct supervision to respiratory care students. The clinical instructor must be appropriately credentialed for the content area they teach and knowledgeable in the subject matter through training and experience. The instructor must be a registered respiratory therapist, hold a Massachusetts Respiratory Care License, and have a current AARC membership.
Responsibilities and Duties:
- Instructor responsibilities and duties include student instruction under direct clinical instructor supervision, assessing student learning outcomes, assuring satisfactory completion and validation of students' clinical experiences, and attending clinical instructor faculty meetings.
- The faculty member will work as a team member on the Respiratory Care Program faculty.
- Adhere to course descriptions and syllabi to ensure course outcomes are met.
- Assess student learning outcomes.
- Assure satisfactory completion and validation of students'clinical experiences.
- Tend to Massasoit Community College email.
- Offer Massasoit email accessibility to students while on hospital campus
- Attending department/division meetings depending on availability.
- Submit student evaluations as scheduled.
Adjunct Faculty are part time instructors hired on an as needed basis. Positions may consist of day, night, or weekend positions and may be in Brockton, Canton, Middleborough, or any other instructional site.

- Bachelor's degree in respiratory therapy with 3 years of clinical experience or an Associate degree in respiratory therapy with a minimum of 5 years clinical experience.
- The instructor must be a registered respiratory therapist (RRT), hold a Massachusetts Respiratory Care License, and have a current AARC membership.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Knowledge of recent developments in respiratory therapy.
- Awareness of the sensitivity to educational goals of a multicultural population.
- An understanding of evidence-based teaching strategies to improve student learning with a wide range of instructional systems development, tutoring methods, and techniques for student support and success is critical for this applicant.

Position Status:Part Time Day Faculty, MCCC/MTA bargaining unit.
Hours:(Up to) Two clinical days/week. 14 hours per week
Semester:
Academic Year Fall 2026 and Spring 2027 semester
Salary:$12,344.64 per semester/$55.11 per hour consistent with the Collective Bargaining Agreement.
* If hired for the position mid-semester, the salary will be pro-rated based on the number of weeks left in the semester.
