In addition, Massasoit provides non-credit workforce development certificates, corporate training opportunities, adult basic education, and personal enrichment courses. Each year, the College welcomes a diverse body of new and returning students, including high school students seeking to earn college credit through dual enrollment partnerships.

More than half of Massasoit's students identify as students of color, and more than half are first generation to attend college. Approximately 700 students annually earn an associate degree or certificate, advancing their educational and career goals.

Located in Brockton, Massachusetts - a vibrant and diverse city of approximately 105,000 residents - Massasoit's main campus reflects and celebrates the community it serves. The College also operates a campus in Canton, a satellite location in Middleborough, and serves students from more than 45 cities and towns across Southeast Massachusetts.

The Director of the Center for Emerging Adults, Returning Citizens, and Correctional Education (C.E.R.C.) provides leadership and oversight for college-credit academic and workforce programs serving justice-impacted individuals and emerging adults transitioning from public systems.

This position is responsible for developing and managing partnerships with correctional facilities, courts, community-based organizations, and state agencies, including the Department of Correction (DOC), Houses of Correction (HOC), Department of Children and Families (DCF), and Department of Youth Services (DYS). The Director ensures program quality, compliance, sustainability, and alignment with college goals.

Evening and weekend hours, as well as regular travel to correctional facilities and community sites, are required.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Supervises the Program Coordinator of CERC
• Develops, maintains, and expands partnerships with correctional facilities, trial courts, probation and parole departments, employers, community-based organizations, DOC, HOC, DCF, and DYS.
• Oversees grants and funding sources that support program delivery, expansion, and sustainability.
• Manages financial aid processes for incarcerated and justice-involved students.
• Administers contract-based instructional programs with DOC, HOC, Probation Services, DCF, and DYS partners.
• Represents the College and CERC at conferences, meetings, and community events related to prison education reform, reentry, and youth aging out of systems.
• Advances academic pathways, including articulation and transfer agreements with four-year institutions as well as MOUs with training programs, local unions, and registered apprenticeship programs.
• Develops employer partnerships to support job placement and career advancement for students with CORI histories.
• Collaborates with Division Deans to recruit faculty and align curriculum with workforce and industry needs.
• Expands program delivery at additional DOC, DCF, DYS, and HOC facilities.
• Coordinate orientation and ongoing support for adjunct faculty teaching in CERC programs.
• Develops and implement policies and procedures consistent with college standards and correctional facility requirements.
• Ensures academic quality, compliance, and integrity of all program offerings.
• Assesses and analyze program outcomes to support continuous improvement and reporting requirements.
• Identifies and pursue additional funding opportunities for education and workforce programming serving specialized populations.
• Performs other duties as assigned.

• Master's degree in education, Counseling, Psychology, Criminal Justice, Business Management, or a related field.
• Minimum of three (3) years of experience in program or project management, grant administration, budget development, community relations, curriculum development, teaching, counseling, non-traditional student services, or a related area, or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
