The position would include tasks associated with Project Management within the techniques of helical piles, (driven & drilled) SP&L, Sheeting, braced (internal/external) shoring systems, micropiles, various forms of grouting and driven piles.
Overall tasks include initial review of project feasibility, preliminary design, estimating, bid preparation, final design and submittal preparation, and assisting in field quality control documentation. The candidate must have at least 5 years of specialty contracting or geotechnical engineering consultant work and preferably some construction experience with the professional engineering license for this role.
Responsibilities- Ability to work independently or with minimal supervision in performing all phases of design/analysis (currently or after training).
- Ability to multi-task by working on several projects in various stages of development. Typical Project Managers are expected to manage at least 50 jobs at once over various stages.
- Write and prepare written reports and submittals that are presented to the client.
- Coordinate with Design Engineers to provide time-sensitive technical solutions to ongoing construction projects.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a cross-functional team environment.
- When appropriate, perform Internal Submittal Review:
Assist field staff, updating and using HELICALs own internal management software. - Must have the ability to interact and communicate with various owners, developers, general contractors, engineers, etc., to fully understand project needs and provide technical solutions.
- At least 5 years of professional experience.
- Excel in Microsoft office software, AutoCAD, SNAIL and other various shoring software programs.
- Knowledge of structural engineer preferred.
- Bachelor's degree in civil, structural and or geotechnical Engineering and professional
- PE license required. Master’s Degree preferred.
- Excellent oral and written Communication skills with the ability to multitask.
- Valid Driver’s License and reliable transportation.
- Must be legally able to work in the US, speak, read and write English.
