Salary on offer:
The annual salary on offer for the successful Senior FPGA Design Engineer
is $150,000 - $220,000 per annum. The Senior FPGA Design Engineer will need to have US Citizenship
. Any present level of Security Clearance is a huge bonus.
Summary of the Senior FPGA Design Engineering Role:
The successful Senior FPGA Design Engineer will be responsible for FPGA design, board-level hardware, and system architecture—solving complex problems involving high-speed interfaces, tight timing margins, and system-level constraints.
- Education – Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science or equivalent experience
- 5-10+ years hands‑on experience in FPGA design and development
- Proficient in ASIC, FPGA, RTL design experience using VHDL, Verilog, System Verilog
- Knowledge/experience of Xilinx SoC’s FPGA’s, CPU’s
- ASIC experience with Cadence or Synopsys tools or FPGA experience with Xilinx, Altera and/or Actel devices and flows
- Proficient in the use of FPGA simulation and synthesis tools
- Network interfaces – SPI, I2C, USB, UART, RS232/485, Ethernet, DDR4, PCIe, MIPI, Ser Des
- Embedded C, C++
- Bonus - Python, Bash Scripting, TCL –
Bonus - Technical expertise in FPGA development across the full lifecycle from RTL design, verification, synthesis, timing analysis, and bring up/validation
- Experience in Defense, Space, Aerospace, Military or similar safety critical industries
- Any present Security Clearance is a huge bonus
- Strong problem-solving skills, innovative, communication and team-work skills
