PositionSummary
The Analyst will primarily be responsible for completing accounting tasks such as preparing journal entries, account reconciliations, and summarizing findings clearly and concisely. The role involves verifying the accuracy of the general ledger, performing timely variance analysis for Balance Sheet and Income Statement accounts, and completing accurate and timely financial reporting. The analyst will identify, investigate, and resolve discrepancies, complete various quarterly reporting requirements, and present financials to leadership during month‑end close calls.
The position requires decision‑making, multi‑tasking, and effective communication in a fast‑paced environment.
- Support the month‑end close process, including journal entry preparation, reconciling accounts, and producing accurate financial statements
- Prepare and review account reconciliations and verify accuracy of the general ledger.
- Conduct variance analysis for balance sheet and income statement accounts and investigate discrepancies.
- Interpret contract language affecting Medicaid plans.
- Process invoice payments
- Assist with collections of outstanding Medicaid settlements
- Provide documentation and information for internal and external audits.
- Participate in special projects and ad‑hoc analysis within the controllership organization.
- Experience in Microsoft Excel; ability to work with large data sets and build/maintain complex spreadsheets.
- 1+ year of experience in accounting or finance with an emphasis on month end close and analysis
- Familiarity with financial systems or reporting tools (e.g., Oracle, Hyperion, Sequel, SAP).
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to producing accurate, reliable work.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities and meet tight deadlines.
- Solid written and verbal communication skills, including ability to summarize findings clearly.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance

Pay Range: $43,888.00 - $93,574.00
