Job Description and DutiesThis position is located in Susanville, CA. The incumbent will perform duties related to forest management, fire suppression, and emergency response. For detailed duties refer to the Duty Statement.
Working ConditionsThe incumbent will work in isolated and physically demanding environments, may be required to work nights, weekends, or holidays, and may need to remain on duty 24 hours or longer without a break.

- Registered Professional Forester license; copy required before hire.
- Must complete CAL FIRE Firefighter Academy (FFA) and Company Officer Academy (COA) training during probation.

- Base salary $6,932 - $8,997 per month.
- Annual compensation $83,184 – $107,892.
- Eligible for medical, dental, and vision benefits.
- Other pay differentials may apply.
