Position: Radiology Technologist (16 Hours, Nights, Weekends Required)

16 Hours, Nights, Weekends Required, Part‑Time, Non‑Benefit Eligible

Position Summary

The Radiology Technologist will perform radiography & angiography procedures under the supervision of the Modality Supervisory Technologist and Modality Medical Director. The Radiology Technologist will:

  • Perform all technical procedures within the respective modality sections as described in the Radiology Policy Manual.
  • Meet the technical competency requirements for the position.
  • Maintain an effective working relationship with all staff.
  • Participate in professional education programs, patient/staff safety initiatives, and quality assurance/ improvement activities.
Required Knowledge & Skills
  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • Documented training and experience in radiography.
  • Current BLS certification.
  • Current Massachusetts DPH Radiologic Technologist Radiography (Full/General) license or ability to obtain registered certification within 12 months of hire and prior to the expiration of a temporary license.
  • Current ARRT registered certification in Radiography with RT(R) designation or eligible for ARRT certification upon graduation.
  • Imaging acquisition, processing, reviewing, sending, and retrieving equipment (hardware and software);
    Hospital information system equipment (hardware and software);
    Communication equipment (e.g., fax, telephone, email, etc.).
  • Ability to use computers.
  • Ability to speak, read, and write in English.
  • Ability to hear and respond to staff and patient needs.
  • Ability to physically position patients.
  • Ability to manipulate imaging equipment.
