Job Title: Phlebotomists - ASCP/AMT
Location: Brockton, MA 02301
Duration: 01 Years to Long-Term
Schedule: Day shift of 8 hours.
Role & Responsibilities- Contractor's employees shall be technically proficient in the skills necessary to fulfill the government’s requirements, including the ability to speak, understand, read and write English fluently.
- Contractor shall provide documents upon request of the CO/COR to verify current and ongoing competency, skills, certification and/or licensure related to the provision of care, treatment and/or services performed.
- The employee will perform patient phlebotomy to include inpatient ward rounds, inpatient and outpatient, Emergency Department (ED), STAT, as soon as possible (ASAP), and timed draws.
- The employee will perform sample processing and send out preparation.
- As part of safety, positively identifies patients prior to sample collection and samples prior to testing or aliquoting.
- As part of safety and safeguards electronic and paper patient information.
- Identifies, documents, and resolves any collection, or processing issues.
- Assures patient-centered care and provides service in a manner that is professional and will avoid complaints from all stakeholders and customers.
- Contractor's personnel shall be responsible for signing in and out when in attendance. The Laboratory Manager (or designee) will establish and maintain a record keeping system that will record the hours worked by the contract personnel.
- The Medical Technicians (Phlebotomy) assigned by the Contractor to perform the services covered by this contract must have three (3) years of recent phlebotomy experience.
- The detailed resume/CV shall include the following information: certifications, professional training, and relevant expertise in accordance with the requirements.
- Certification from American Society of Clinical Pathology (ASCP) or American Medical Technologists (AMT) is required.
