The Catering Sales Manager is a full-time, on-site role based in Greater Boston, responsible for driving catering revenue and ensuring outstanding guest experiences. This role manages the full catering sales cycle, including prospecting, responding to inquiries, preparing proposals, negotiating contracts, and closing business for events of varying size and complexity. The Catering Sales Manager collaborates closely with culinary, operations, and event planning teams to design menus, coordinate event logistics, and deliver seamless execution that meets client expectations and brand standards.
Day-to-day responsibilities include maintaining client relationships, conducting site visits, forecasting and reporting sales performance, and ensuring accurate event details are communicated to all stakeholders. The role also involves monitoring market trends, participating in networking and promotional activities, and upholding Levy’s standards for hospitality, food quality, and service.
- Strong catering sales and food & beverage knowledge, with the ability to create compelling proposals and menu packages.
- Experience in event planning and coordination, including timelines, logistics, and collaboration with cross-functional teams.
- Proven commitment to customer satisfaction and customer service, with excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Previous experience in hospitality, restaurants, hotels, or event venues; prior catering sales experience is highly beneficial.
- Ability to work on-site in Greater Boston, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as business requires.
- Strong organizational and time-management skills, with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple events simultaneously.
- Comfort with sales reporting tools, CRM systems, and basic business math for forecasting and budgeting.
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business, or a related field, or equivalent professional experience.
