Netbackup SME - Cleared

CMK Resources is seeking experienced Net Backup SMEs with active U.S. security clearances to support upcoming enterprise and government data protection engagements.

These opportunities are ideal for senior Net Backup engineers who are comfortable providing hands‑on technical support, consulting, knowledge transfer, and customer training across complex enterprise environments.

Location: Ideally looking in MA, UT, and FL – Open to Remote/Hybrid/Onsite flexibility depending on engagement

Security Clearance: Active U.S. Security Clearance Required

• Administer, troubleshoot, and support Net Backup environments.
• Support Net Backup 11.x environments and current platform features.
• Perform VMware backup and restore testing.
• Validate backup and recovery processes and troubleshoot failures.
• Assist with Net Backup upgrades, migrations, and appliance-related activities.
• Provide hands‑on knowledge transfer and technical training to customer teams.
• Develop documentation, procedures, and operational runbooks.
• Work directly with customer engineering and infrastructure teams.
• Provide technical recommendations and Net Backup best practices.

• Strong hands‑on Net Backup experience from versions 9.x and above
  .
• Experience with enterprise backup and recovery environments.
• VMware backup and restore expertise as it pertains to NBU.
• Strong troubleshooting and recovery skills.
  
  Customer‑facing consulting or Professional Services experience.
• Ability to train and mentor customer technical teams.
• Active U.S. Security Clearance.

• Net Backup 11.x.
• Net Backup Flex or other Net Backup Appliances.
• Net Backup upgrades and migrations.
• Cloud‑integrated backup environments.
• Automation and scripting.
• Enterprise disaster recovery and cyber resilience.
