- Effectively communicates as required with supervisor.
- Follows specific directions, fully understand the training on safety, QA and USDA rules.
- Maintains the work area clean and safe at all times.
- Assists other employees and Supervisor when requested.
- Performs with the best effort as indicated by the production line’s pace.
- Adheres to all GMP’s (Good Manufacturing Practices), such as good hand washing practices and adhering to the employee hygiene plan.
- Follow all USDA guidelines
- Report any issues regarding food safety or quality to supervision and/or quality assurance
- Comply with customer requirements when applicable.
- Responsible for upholding, following and maintaining the requirements of the SQF Food Safety Code for Manufacturing.
- Recognize and be able to read the ingredients used in each item produced.
- Ensure that the proper handling techniques are followed to shape the doughs and add the fillings & toppings.
- Ensure that the proper weights for fillings are being used on the line based on the product being produced.
- Watch that the proper ingredients are being used on the line based on the product being produced.
- Ensure that the proper weights for finished products.
- Be alert, aware and recognize when product or ingredient used to produce product has quality issues and report to Lead, Supervisor and/or Quality.
- Watch labels, codes, product quality for issues and report to Lead, Supervisor and/or Quality.
- Other duties as may be assigned or volunteered for.
- High School Diploma/GED
- Good communications skills, hard working, dependable, safety conscious
- Able to communicate and make logical decisions.
- Read, write English and know basic math.
- Ability to follow specific directions and communicate with all other departments in the facility.
- Ability to lift 50 pounds, reach, bend, stand and sit for 10-12 hour shift.
- Ability to explain job function and reasons associated with it.
- Basic reading, writing and math skills.
