The Load Builder receives finished products from production departments and organizes them into route carts or bins for delivery or storage. You will assemble customer orders for shipment as part of the production and distribution team. The Load-Builder reports to the Production Manager.
Responsibilities- Receive finished, cleaned products from production departments and organize them for order assembly.
- Review packing requirements and place correct products into designated route carts, bins, or storage locations.
- Maintain product flow in the load-building area to support delivery schedules.
- Identify and report product shortages, discrepancies, or quality concerns to management.
- Meet established productivity, quality, and safety standards, including proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Log in and out of Spindle (internal productivity tracking system).
- Recognize product colors, sizes, and types.
- Counting and sorting of textiles for order assembly.
- Inspection of finished products to identify quality concerns.
- Follow written packing instructions and operational procedures.
- You will perform physical tasks throughout the work shift. These tasks include standing and walking for extended periods; reaching overhead; pushing and pulling carts or bins; grasping and handling textiles; lifting up to 25 pounds; and stooping or bending.
- Work in production areas of an industrial laundry facility may include exposure to temperature variations, humidity, odors, lint, and dust.
