1st shift Senior Maintenance Mechanic

Job Description

A local medical device manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Maintenance Mechanic to join their team! Direct hire role paying $30-40/hr.

• Set up, operate, and monitor manufacturing equipment (Injection Molding Machines, Extruder, Automation Equipment) performing tasks required to build the product
• Research and purchase parts and tools to repair broken equipment
• Interact with production operators and technical staff to fully understand equipment failures and identify and fix root cause
• Operate hand tools including a multimeter
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on our equipment
• Oversee specific computer programs that control the machines as required
• Plan with Manufacturing Engineering to meet production and schedule requirements
• Provide production, progress, or changeover reports to shift supervisors and Engineering as required
• Support startup and shutdown of processing equipment if required
• Support installation of new equipment as required
• Provide advice or training to other technicians/operators as required
• Have working knowledge of electronic and mechanical assemblies and be able to read and understand equipment manuals
• Work with a sense of urgency in a production environment
• Liaise with equipment manufacturers to diagnose equipment failures
