1st Shift Material Handler
This role supports a well-established manufacturing operation that produces liquid, semi-solid, and powder formulations of prescription and over-the-counter products. The 1st Shift Material Handler works on the packaging line to handle materials, perform basic quality checks, and ensure products are packaged accurately, safely, and efficiently in a clean, organized environment.
Pay: $16.50/hr
Shift: First (1st) shift: 6:00am - 3:00pm, Monday - Friday
Responsibilities- Perform simple in-process quality inspections to ensure products and components meet established standards.
- Verify the presence and quality of printed lot numbers, expiration dates, and sequential number codes on shipping cartons.
- Inspect products and components for conformity to quality specifications and identify any issues.
- Identify and remove from production any dirty, damaged, or non-conforming finished goods or components.
- Package containers into cartons, securely tape cartons, and place them on pallets in an orderly manner.
- Apply product information or date coding onto shipping cartons while working on the packaging line.
- Apply closures to filled containers on the packaging line, maintaining application speed consistent with line speed.
- Maintain a packing rate that keeps up with the speed of the production line.
- Clean packaging equipment and facilities as directed by the Line Leader.
- Clean and organize the general workstation and comply with current good manufacturing practices (cGMP).
- Handle materials, including picking and packaging, to support ongoing production activities.
- Material handling experience in a production or manufacturing environment.
- Ability to perform picking, packaging, and production support tasks.
- Good listening and comprehension skills to follow instructions accurately.
- Ability to lift 15–20 lbs and perform physical tasks such as bending, carrying, pushing, kneeling, and standing for long periods of time.
- Attention to detail to perform quality checks on lot numbers, expiration dates, codes, and product conformity.
- Ability to maintain work pace that aligns with the speed of the packaging line.
- Willingness and ability to follow current good manufacturing practices (cGMP) and cleanliness standards.

Pay and Benefits:
The pay range for this position is $16.50 - $16.50/hr individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
