Looking for a meaningful leadership role where you can make a direct impact on the lives of individuals with complex special needs? As the Advanced Care Nurse Manager at Latham Centers, you will provide clinical leadership and oversight of all nursing and medical services within a residential group home settings.
Location: Sandwich, MA or Wareham, MA
Compensation: $48.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday-Friday 8:00am-4:00pm
Key Responsibilities- Provide clinical leadership and oversight of nursing care within the residential group home
- Conduct nursing assessments and oversee individualized health care plans
- Monitor health status of individuals and respond to emerging medical needs
- Oversee medication administration systems in compliance with DDS, DPH, MAP, and agency standards
- Ensure accurate, complete, and timely medical documentation and records
- Coordinate medical appointments, specialty care, and hospital transitions
- Collaborate with physicians, psychiatric providers, and external healthcare partners
- Participate in psychiatric consultations and medication reviews
- Provide on-call nursing consultation to administrative leadership as needed
- Supervise and train Certified Nursing Assistants (CNAs)
- Complete competency evaluations and ensure ongoing staff skill development
- Lead medical training, orientation, and in-service education for staff
- Serve as primary medical liaison for families, guardians, and providers
- Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings and program planning
- Oversee medical supply inventory and ensure availability of necessary equipment
- Support compliance with DDS, DPH, MAP, OSHA, and agency regulations
- Contribute to quality improvement initiatives and best practices in care delivery
- Promote teamwork, professionalism, and adherence to Latham Centers’ mission and standards
- High School Diploma or GED required
- Associate or Bachelor’s degree in Nursing required
- Valid MA Registered Nurse (RN) license required
- Valid driver’s license required
- CPI (Crisis Prevention Intervention) certification required
- CPR/First Aid certification required
- MAP Train-the-Trainer certification required or ability to obtain
- Experience in psychiatric nursing, developmental disabilities, or complex medical needs preferred
- Ability to safely intervene in crisis situations when necessary
- Strong clinical judgment and leadership skills required
