Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department

36 hours, 3:00a.m. – 3:00p.m. with rotating weekends.

As an RN in the Emergency Department, you will deliver exceptional, patient-centered care, assess, diagnose, plan, intervene, evaluate, and educate patients, collaborate with the healthcare team, and assist in quality improvement projects.

• Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
• Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families.
• Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
• Update and manage patient records.
• Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
• Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
• Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.

• Prior experience in an emergency department preferred.
• Education:
  
  Nursing degree required – Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred);
  Ability to obtain a BSN within 4 years required.
• Certification/Licensure:
  Active Massachusetts RN license and BLS required. ACLS, PALS preferred.

Compensation Range: $38.10‑$77.63 per hour. This range offers an estimate based on the minimum job qualifications. However, our approach to determining base pay is comprehensive, and a broad range of factors is considered when making an offer.
