Position: Registered Nurse- Cardiac Catheterization Lab (40 Hours, Days)

Position Summary

Boston Medical Center (BMC) is a Magnet® recognized hospital offering a dynamic work environment. We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. As an RN in this lab, you will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support quality improvement initiatives.

Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
  • Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families.
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
  • Update and manage patient records.
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
Job Requirements
  • Education:

    Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred);
    Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required.
  • Licenses/Certifications:

    Current RN Massachusetts license, BLS and ACLS required.
  • Experience:

    3‑5 years of previous interventional cardiac catheterization lab experience required; previous critical care experience preferred.
  • Knowledge &

    Skills:
    • Procedural sedation experience.
    • Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation.
    • STEMI response.
    • Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, TEE, cardioversions, intra‑aortic balloon pumps, and Impella devices.
    • Experience with Epic (preferred).
    • Experience with XPER (preferred).
Compensation and Benefits

Compensation Range: $38.10–$77.63 per hour. Total compensation includes medical, dental, vision, and pharmacy benefits, contract increases, flexible spending accounts, 403(b) savings matches, earned time cash out, paid time off, career advancement opportunities, and resources supporting employee and family wellbeing.
