Position Summary
Boston Medical Center (BMC) is a Magnet® recognized hospital offering a dynamic work environment. We are seeking a Registered Nurse for the Cardiac Catheterization Lab. As an RN in this lab, you will deliver patient-centered care, collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, and support quality improvement initiatives.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
- Communicate with various health care team members, patients, and their families.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
- Update and manage patient records.
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality improvement projects.
- Education:
Nursing Diploma, ASN or BSN (preferred);
Ability to obtain BSN within 4 years required. - Licenses/Certifications:
Current RN Massachusetts license, BLS and ACLS required. - Experience:
3‑5 years of previous interventional cardiac catheterization lab experience required; previous critical care experience preferred. - Knowledge &
Skills:- Procedural sedation experience.
- Proficiency with hemodynamic monitoring and interpretation.
- STEMI response.
- Experience with diagnostic and interventional cardiac procedures, TEE, cardioversions, intra‑aortic balloon pumps, and Impella devices.
- Experience with Epic (preferred).
- Experience with XPER (preferred).
Compensation Range: $38.10–$77.63 per hour.
