PositionRegistered Nurse – Emergency Department 24-hour shift (3 p-3 a) with rotating weekends.
About the Emergency DepartmentThe Emergency Department at BMC – South is the only Level III trauma center in the region and provides urgent care to more than 65,000 patients annually. The team delivers specialized care in trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatrics, and behavioral health and uses advanced technology such as EMS integration and Twiage to stabilize patients and coordinate further care.
Position SummaryAs an RN in the Emergency Department, you will deliver patient-centered, high-quality care and support the nursing organization to ensure excellent outcomes for all patients.
Job Responsibilities- Deliver nursing care in the department, including assessment, diagnosis, planning, intervention, evaluation, and patient education.
- Communicate effectively with health-care team members, patients, and their families.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient-care activities to inter-professional colleagues.
- Update and manage patient records and enter and interpret computerized data.
- Follow BMC nursing guidelines and policies.
- Assist leadership in quality-improvement projects as needed.
- Experience:
3-5 years of Emergency Department experience. - Education:
Nursing degree – diploma, ASN, or BSN (preferred). Ability to obtain a BSN within four years required. - Licensure:
Active Massachusetts RN license and Basic Life Support (BLS). Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) preferred. - COVID-19 and flu vaccination, with booster for COVID-19, required.

Hourly range: $38.10 - $77.63. The range reflects qualifications such as education, experience, and licensure/certifications.
