Signature Healthcare’s Brockton Hospital is hiring a Part‑Time Flex Registered Nurse (RN) for A2‑Telemetry in Brockton, MA.

Type: Part Time Flex
Shift: 32 Hours Weekly, Nights
A New Day: Our recently renovated Brockton Hospital is a modern healthcare facility focused on superior patient care and safety. Following extensive renovations, the hospital is equipped with advanced infrastructure to meet the evolving needs of the community.

A2 Telemetry Unit

Brockton Hospital's A2 Telemetry Unit is a specialized care environment with 42 beds dedicated to adult cardiac monitoring. Patients are admitted primarily from the Emergency Department, Critical Care Unit, and Cardiac Catheterization Lab. The unit handles a spectrum of cardiac conditions, from myocardial infarctions to heart failure, arrhythmias, and cardiac device management. Support staff includes unit secretaries and clinical care assistants, and nursing supervisors are available on off‑shifts to enhance patient care, staffing, and throughput coordination.

Roles And Responsibilities
  • Assessment: collects relevant patient health data specific to specialty area.
  • Diagnosis: analyzes assessment data to determine nursing diagnoses.
  • Outcome identification: identifies individualized, expected outcomes for patient.
  • Planning/Implementation: develops and implements plan of care that prescribes interventions to attain expected outcomes.
  • Evaluation: evaluates and documents patient’s progress toward attaining expected outcomes in the medical record.
  • Provide nursing care to assigned patients.
  • Administer prescribed medication and intravenous solutions safely.
  • Report significant alterations in patient’s condition to physician.
  • Counsel, educate, and include patients and families in accordance with the overall plan of care.
  • Assist patients and families in coping with stress accompanying illness; offer solace and support to the dying.
  • Quality of Care: systematically evaluate the quality and effectiveness of nursing practice.
  • Individual Practice Evaluation: reflect knowledge of current professional practice standards, laws, regulations, and changes in health care delivery in daily practice.
  • Education:

    acquire and maintain current knowledge and competency in patient care.
  • Collegiality: interact with and contribute to the professional development of peers and other healthcare providers.
  • Ethics: determine actions on behalf of patients in an ethical manner.
  • Collaboration:

    collaborate with the team—including patient, family, and healthcare providers—to provide patient care in a healing, humane, and caring environment.
  • Research: use clinical inquiry in practice.
  • Resource Utilization: consider factors related to safety, effectiveness, and cost in planning and delivering patient care.
Required

Required
  • Graduate of an approved school of nursing.
  • Licensed in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts as a Registered Nurse. Current American Heart Association BLS for Healthcare Providers completion.
Preferred
  • Software/Hardware:
    Meditech experience preferred.
