Position SummaryRegistered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department, South Campus.
- Schedule:
36 hours per week (11p.m. – 11a.m.) with rotating weekends. - Work in a LevelIII Trauma Center providing urgent care for over 65,000 patients annually, with a focus on trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
- Utilize a patient‑centered care model supported by a collaborative nursing organization.
- Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
- Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and their families.
- Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
- Update and manage patient records.
- Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
- Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
- Assist the leadership team as needed in quality‑improvement projects.
- Experience:
3 to 5 years in an Emergency Department. - Education:
Nursing degree required (diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred). BSN must be obtained within 4 years. - Certification/Licensure:
Active Massachusetts RN license and BLS required. ACLS and PALS preferred.
