Position: Registered Nurse- Emergency Department (36 Hours, 11p-11a)

Position Summary

Registered Nurse (RN) – Emergency Department, South Campus.

  • Schedule:

    36 hours per week (11p.m. – 11a.m.) with rotating weekends.
  • Work in a LevelIII Trauma Center providing urgent care for over 65,000 patients annually, with a focus on trauma, cardiac, stroke, pediatrics, and behavioral health.
  • Utilize a patient‑centered care model supported by a collaborative nursing organization.
Job Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing care in the Department, including assessing, diagnosing, planning, intervening, evaluating, and educating patients.
  • Communicate with health‑care team members, patients, and their families.
  • Coordinate and delegate appropriate patient‑care activities to inter‑professional colleagues.
  • Update and manage patient records.
  • Enter and interpret computerized data/information.
  • Follow guidelines and policies established by BMC’s nursing organization.
  • Assist the leadership team as needed in quality‑improvement projects.
Job Requirements
  • Experience:

    3 to 5 years in an Emergency Department.
  • Education:

    Nursing degree required (diploma, ASN, or BSN preferred). BSN must be obtained within 4 years.
  • Certification/Licensure:
    Active Massachusetts RN license and BLS required. ACLS and PALS preferred.
