Position Summary
The Ostomy/Wound Nurse functions as clinical resource and consultant in the management of ostomies, complex wounds, fistulae, pressure, vascular and diabetic ulcers, and skin care problems. Position:

- Devises a plan of care that promotes the ostomy patient’s physical, psychological, and social adaption.
- Provide education and counseling for post-operative ostomy patients, family, and significant others.
- At-home management of ostomy.
- Knowledge level re: ostomy care.
- Problems with psychological adaptation.
Required Knowledge &
Skills:

- Registered Nurse in the State of MA.
- Bachelor’s Degree (required).
- BLS required.
- WOCN Certification required; if not current must obtain within 2 years of employment.
- Graduate from a WOCN accredited program.
Hours likely to extend into the evening shift to accomplish hospital consults.
Compensation Range: $43.04 – $101.35 per hour. (This is an estimate based on minimum qualifications; actual offer will consider education, experience, licensure and certifications.)
