Travel RN - Med​/Surg Float Pool

American Traveler is hiring an RN for a Med/Surg Float Pool position requiring 2+ years of recent acute care experience and telemetry proficiency across multiple units.

• Active MA RN license required
• Current BLS, ACLS, and NIHSS certifications required
• Minimum 2 years of recent acute care experience required
• Telemetry and Meditech IV experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• 3-5 years of previous float pool experience preferred
• Must pass an on-site telemetry exam on Day 1 with a score of 84% or better (2 attempts allowed)
• Must be able to adapt quickly to different clinical units

• Float pool position covering 5 different Med/Surg/Tele units
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts, 36 hours per week
• Every other weekend and every other holiday required
• Uses Meditech IVs and EPIC EMR systems
• Must be able to independently read telemetry strips
• Must be adaptable to quickly changing unit assignments
• Provide Med/Surg/Tele nursing care while floating across 5 designated units
• No extended RTO permitted during the assignment
• Most Fridays will be required to work
• No specific schedule requests accommodated
• Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered local
