Position Overview
Our client is a cutting-edge medical device contract manufacturer that is seeking a Quality Engineer with strong experience in dimensional inspection and metrology to support new product introduction and manufacturing operations. This role will focus on interpreting inspection data, supporting measurement systems, and ensuring product quality through advanced inspection techniques.
Key Responsibilities- Support dimensional inspection activities using CMM and 3D scanning technologies.
- Analyze inspection data to determine product conformance and trends.
- Collaborate with CMM programmers to refine and validate inspection programs.
- Support test method validation and measurement system analysis (Gage R&R).
- Assist in development and qualification of inspection fixtures and tooling.
- Work cross-functionally with manufacturing and quality teams to resolve issues.
- Interpret complex measurement data and identify potential discrepancies.
- Experience in the medical device industry.
- 3-8+ years of experience in quality or manufacturing engineering.
- Experience with dimensional inspection, CMM, or metrology systems.
- Familiarity with Gage R&R and test method validation.
- Strong data interpretation and problem-solving skills.
- Exposure to additive manufacturing or complex geometries is a plus.
