- Design Advanced Problems — Craft challenging biochemistry problems across domains like protein folding, nucleic acid chemistry, metabolic flux analysis, proteomics, and drug‑target interactions to probe AI performance at the frontier of scientific reasoning.
- Author Gold‑Standard Solutions — Write rigorous, step‑by‑step technical responses that serve as benchmarks for AI models tackling high‑level scientific questions.
- Audit AI Outputs — Evaluate AI‑generated biochemical pathways, molecular structures, enzyme mechanisms, and mathematical proofs for technical accuracy and scientific integrity.
- Refine AI Reasoning — Identify logical failures (incorrect stoichiometry, stereochemical errors, flawed mechanistic reasoning) and provide structured feedback that directly improves how AI models think through life science problems.
- PhD‑level expertise — Completed or near‑completed doctorate in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, or a closely related field.
- Deep domain knowledge — Strong foundational understanding in one or more areas: structural biology, enzymology, cellular metabolism, molecular genetics, or bioinformatics.
- Clear scientific communicator — Able to translate complex biochemical and chemical concepts into precise, well‑structured written explanations.
- Detail‑oriented — High level of precision when working with chemical equations, molecular diagrams, reaction mechanisms, and experimental data.
- No AI experience required — We'll provide what you need to get started.
- Experience with data annotation, quality evaluation, or academic peer review.
- Familiarity with computational biochemistry tools such as PyMOL, Alpha Fold, or BLAST.
- Background in scientific writing, grant authorship, or technical documentation.
- Work on genuinely cutting‑edge AI projects alongside world‑class research teams.
- Fully remote and asynchronous — work on your own schedule, from anywhere.
- Make a meaningful contribution to how AI understands and reasons about science.
- Freelance perks: autonomy, variety, and global collaboration.
- Potential for ongoing work and contract extension.
