Gallery Associate – Ali Gray Gallery

Position Overview

The Gallery Associate is a key front‑of‑house team member responsible for creating a welcoming and engaging experience for visitors while supporting the day‑to‑day operations of the Ali Gray Gallery.

• Greet visitors and provide a warm, welcoming gallery experience
• Speak knowledgeably about artists and available work
• Support and complete sales transactions with collectors
• Build positive relationships with collectors and visitors
• Represent the gallery professionally in all interactions

• Support daily gallery operations to ensure a smooth and efficient environment
• Assist with opening and closing procedures
• Help maintain a clean, organized, and visually polished gallery space
• Provide support during exhibition installation and transitions
• Assist with basic administrative and organizational tasks as needed
• Help ensure necessary supplies and materials are stocked and accessible

• Support promotion of receptions, exhibitions, and special events
• Assist with the distribution of marketing materials to local partner organizations and businesses
• Help ensure strong visibility and attendance for gallery events

• Duration:
  May – October (seasonal)
• Schedule:
  
  Approximately 10–30 hours/week, with increased hours during peak season (June–August)
• Weekend and evening availability required
• Compensation to be negotiated
