DSD Sales Representative

The Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Sales Representative is responsible for delivering, merchandising, and selling dried fruit and nut products to local supermarkets and retail customers. This role combines route sales, customer service, product delivery, merchandising, and business development to grow existing accounts and maximize product sales. The ideal candidate is customer-focused, organized, self-motivated, and capable of managing a daily delivery route while building strong relationships with store personnel.

• Develop and maintain strong relationships with supermarket receivers, produce managers, and store personnel.
• Service existing retail accounts and identify opportunities to increase sales and product placement.
• Promote new products, programs, and seasonal offerings.
• Monitor inventory levels and recommend appropriate product orders.
• Work proactively to grow existing business and secure additional shelf space and display opportunities.
• Address customer concerns and resolve issues professionally and promptly.

• Operate a company box truck safely and efficiently on assigned delivery routes.
• Deliver dried fruits, nuts, and related products to customer locations.
• Unload products and stock shelves, displays, and designated merchandising areas.
• Rotate inventory to ensure freshness and proper product presentation.
• Verify deliveries and maintain accurate delivery records.
• Ensure products are displayed according to company merchandising standards.

• Follow assigned delivery schedules and maintain route efficiency.
• Conduct vehicle inspections and report maintenance issues.
• Maintain accurate records of deliveries, inventory, sales activity, and customer interactions.
• Adhere to all company policies, food safety requirements, and transportation regulations.

• High school diploma or GED.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Minimum 3 years of Direct Store Delivery (DSD), route sales, grocery merchandising, food distribution, or related field sales experience required.
• Proven track record of growing sales, maintaining customer relationships, and servicing retail accounts.
• Experience working with supermarkets, grocery stores, produce departments, or retail food environments preferred.
• Strong communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills with store managers, receivers, and department personnel.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
• Basic math and inventory management skills.

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull products weighing up to 50 pounds and perform loading/unloading activities throughout the workday.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, reach, and climb in and out of delivery vehicles while working in retail, warehouse, and delivery environments.
• Ability to safely operate a box truck and work outdoors in varying weather conditions while traveling to customer locations and servicing accounts.
