Counter Sales Representative

Job Description

The Counter Sales Representative is customer facing, hands on customer service and requires prompt, courteous service & some electrical product knowledge. Rexel will provide training to ensure employee growth. Our employees appreciate customers and strive to provide excellent service. The CSR works with the branch team in all aspects of receiving, shipping, and stocking inventory.

What You’ll Do:

  • Provide excellent customer service by assisting customers promptly and courteously with their purchases and processing of their orders.
  • Focus on sales at our counter, coordinate delivery business and build customer relationships.
  • Assist with daily restocking and keep the branch counter area clean and organized.
  • Assist with warehouse functions as required, including inventory, receiving, shipping, stocking, and coordinating daily & midnight deliveries.
  • Stay informed and educated on product knowledge – provided by Rexel.
  • Inform manager of any potentially hazardous or elevated situation pertaining to safety or customer satisfaction.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
  • Electrical distribution experience preferred.
  • High School or GED – Required.
  • Some electrical product knowledge and experience, preferred;
    Rexel will train.
  • Demonstrated reading, writing, and communication skills required.
  • Minimum computer and phone skills are necessary.
  • Good team player.
  • Strong organizational skills.
  • Ability to work efficiently and meet deadlines.
  • Typing skills.
  • Great attitude, punctuality, and consistent attendance required.
  • Desire to grow with Rexel & gain electrical sales/product knowledge.

For the state of Massachusetts only, the pay range is $19.00 to $21.00, depending upon qualifications, experience and other considerations permitted by law.
