Business Development Associate

Responsibilities

• Perform outreach (via email and phone) to client prospects, design firms, and real estate professionals, track responses, and coordinate follow-up
• Set meetings with client prospects and business influencers, including architects and engineers, etc., supported and accompanied by principals and management staff as necessary.
• Follow up with prospects to facilitate business opportunities and Requests for Proposals
• Facilitate networking opportunities and attend industry events to help support making new connections
• Coordinate with marketing department regarding business development initiatives and outreach
• Attend trade shows and industry events with other team members
• Assist with proposals and presentations, and as your experience level grows, advise regarding win strategies and competitive advantage
• Maintain communication through the sales cycle to help close deals with support of principals and management staff
• Utilize Hubspot to manage contacts and input project opportunities into Market Sector Sales Pipelines.

• 1 - 5 years business development experience, preferably in the A/E/C or real estate industry. Recent college graduates are encouraged to apply and will be considered
• Aptitude and enthusiasm for building and maintaining relationships based on trust and professionalism
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Strong organizational skills
• Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, including MS Word, Excel, and Power Point
• Proficient with use of Hub Spot or other comparable CRM system / sales tracking system
• Proficient with use of social media including Linked In and other professional platforms

• BS/BA in Marketing, Management, Communications, Advertising, Journalism, or English preferred
• Educational background and/or experience in sales and construction management preferred

• Must have valid driver’s license and personal transportation
• Must be authorized to work in the United States
• Must perform other duties as assigned
