The Role

ACS is seeking a Sales Manager to lead and develop its growing sales organization across the New England market. This is a hands‑on sales leadership role centered around coaching, accountability, pipeline development, and team performance rather than carrying an individual quota.

The Sales Manager will oversee and support both BDRs and Account Executives, helping drive structure, consistency, and execution across the sales organization. This individual will work closely with the team on prospecting strategy, cold calling, discovery conversations, pipeline management, and closing support while actively coaching through pre‑call planning, post‑call debriefs, pipeline reviews, and field‑based prospecting activities.

The ideal candidate has experience managing and developing sales professionals within a high‑performance B2B sales environment and knows how to balance accountability with mentorship while building a competitive, collaborative culture. ACS takes a consultative, relationship‑driven approach to sales focused on solving business and technology challenges through strategic IT guidance and managed services.

Responsibilities
  • Sales Leadership & Coaching
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a growing sales organization consisting of 3 Account Executives, 4 BDRs, and 4 sales interns
  • Coach sales representatives through the full sales cycle including prospecting, discovery, pipeline development, proposal strategy, and closing support
  • Conduct regular 1:1 meetings focused on accountability, skill development, and performance improvement
  • Participate in discovery meetings, first‑time appointments (FTAs), and strategic client conversations alongside the sales team
  • Provide real‑time coaching through pre‑call preparation, post‑call debriefs, and opportunity strategy sessions
  • Support outbound prospecting initiatives including cold calling, networking, and in‑market business development activities such as door knocking
  • Help reinforce strong discovery and consultative selling habits across the team
  • Foster a competitive, team‑oriented sales culture centered around accountability, coachability, and continuous improvement
  • Maintain visibility into team pipeline activity, forecasting, and overall sales performance
  • Conduct deal reviews and pipeline validation sessions to ensure opportunities are progressing appropriately
  • Review KPIs including FTAs, outbound activity, conversion rates, pipeline generation, and closed business performance
  • Help establish and maintain a disciplined sales process across the organization
  • Ensure CRM adoption and accurate reporting within Hub Spot
  • Assist leadership with sales forecasting, territory planning, budgeting, and headcount growth initiatives
  • Support onboarding and ramping efforts for new sales hires
  • Collaborate with leadership on compensation planning, performance expectations, and incentive structures
  • Sales Strategy & Organizational Growth
  • Act as the primary leader and representative of the sales organization internally and externally
  • Partner closely with leadership and Growth OS, ACS’s outsourced CRO and sales coaching partner, to support the continued maturation, accountability, and scalability of the sales organization while gradually stepping into increasing sales leadership responsibilities internally.
