About Common CraftCommon Craft operates two unique hospitality venues in Greater Boston:
Common Craft Burlington and Common Craft Southie. Each location has its own spaces, layouts, and event formats, but both are built to host private events that feel genuinely private and elevated. We host everything from small gatherings to larger buyouts, with a focus on strong food and beverage, thoughtful service, and a seamless planning experience.
We are hiring a part time Events Sales Lead focused on top of funnel growth: prospecting, partnerships, and relationship building across both Common Craft locations.
This role is mostly remote and is not responsible for contracting, proposals, or event execution logistics. Each location has internal operational support to handle tours, contracting, scheduling, and event coordination. Your job is to build pipeline and feed qualified opportunities into the right on site Events Manager based on fit, availability, and event type.
Time commitment and schedule- Part time role, expected 15 to 25 hours per week to start
- Mostly remote
- Occasional in person time for key partner meetings or to support high value opportunities as needed
- Flexible schedule, with responsiveness during business hours for inbound and follow up
- Proactively generate event leads through outbound prospecting and relationship building
- Build and manage a targeted list across corporate, HR, executive assistants, hotels, planners, universities, youth sports, community organizations, and local businesses
- Maintain a consistent weekly cadence of outreach and follow up
- Build partnerships that drive recurring event bookings
- Develop referral relationships with planners, hotels, local employers, and community groups
- Create lightweight partner programs and track outcomes
- Qualify inbound leads quickly and route opportunities to the correct location based on size, format, and availability
- Coordinate with the Events Managers to align on calendars, capacity, and priority targets
- Maintain a simple pipeline tracker or CRM with clear stages and next steps
- Collaborate with leadership and the Events Managers to refine messaging, outreach campaigns, and market visibility
- Provide feedback on what segments are converting and where packages or positioning should be adjusted
- Build a unified target list and outreach plan for both locations
- Establish a weekly prospecting rhythm and tracking system
- Implement a clear handoff process and routing rules with both Events Managers
- Increase qualified leads and booked tours for both locations
- Establish recurring partner channels that produce steady pipeline
- Build a repeat client base and a compounding outbound engine
- Qualified leads generated per week
- Meetings set or tours scheduled with the Events Managers
- Conversion rate from qualified lead to booked event
- Booked revenue influenced or sourced
- Number of active partner and referral relationships
- Proven sales or business development experience, ideally in hospitality, events, venues, catering, hotels, or a relationship driven service business
- Comfortable with outbound prospecting and consistent follow up
- Strong communicator and professional presence with clients
- Organized and process driven, you track everything and keep momentum moving
- Able to collaborate across two locations and operate as one team with on site events operations
Open to structures based on experience and fit:
- Hourly plus commission on sourced or influenced bookings
- Draw plus commission
- Commission heavy structure with a smaller hourly retainer
We want this to be a high upside role tied directly to performance.
