Overview
Position will work in the Springfield, MA and surrounding area.
As a Field Service Technician at ZEISS, you will participate in installation and servicing of custom equipment, interact with customers and cross-functional service groups, support and launch ZEISS products into the field, and assist the R&D team with engineering work related to design, build, and new system testing. This role also supports the production of systems during various stages of assembly and setup.

- Support production during various stages of assembly and setup.
- Minimum high school graduate, GED or equivalent.
- AS/BS in Electronics, Industrial Mechanics, or training/experience from military technical school OR 4 years related experience.
- Experience using hand tools and basic electrical test equipment.
- Microsoft operating system knowledge.
- Ability to lift up to 75 pounds unassisted.
- Willing to work a minimum of 50 hours per week (Regular + OT).
- Ability to work in an industrial production shop floor environment.
- Valid Driver’s License.
- Excellent communication and customer service aptitude.
- Experience installing and troubleshooting industrial electronics, machines, or computer systems.
- Experience with Coordinate Measuring Machines (CMM) installation and troubleshooting is preferred but not required.
The pay for this role may be influenced by location, scope, qualifications, education, experience, and role complexity. This position is eligible for a performance bonus or sales commissions. ZEISS offers robust benefits including medical plans, retirement savings plan, and paid time off.
