General Information
SALARY: $15.00 per hour
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 1:00 PM - Part Time / Non-Benefited Position
Reports To: Summer Youth Program Supervisor or the Refuse General Foreman
Duties and Responsibilities- Shoveling materials and leveling areas
- Loading and unloading supplies
- Cleaning litter and debris from streets and parking lots
- Mowing grass using hand or powered equipment
- Trimming shrubs and lower parts of trees along sidewalks
- Using standard hand tools such as shovels, weed whackers, lawn mowers, sidewalk vacuums, and hedge trimmers
- Work performed outside and may be conducted in adverse weather conditions
All teens under 18 years of age must complete a work permit application and obtain a permit before starting a new job. Minors under the age of 14 may not work. Work permits are issued by the school district corresponding to the minor's residence or school attendance.
To obtain a working permit, one must attend 43 School Street, Brockton, MA, with a parent or guardian and bring a valid photo identification purposes.
