Service Technician

Service Technician | Western Massachusetts | Full-Time

This position starts at $29.50/hour and averages 45-48 hours/week. This position qualifies for overtime.

Mathews Brothers Company is seeking a reliable, customer-focused Service Technician to join our team in Western Massachusetts. The Service Technician is responsible for inspecting, troubleshooting, repairing, and servicing windows, doors, and related building products at customer locations throughout the region. This role requires strong mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a commitment to delivering exceptional customer service while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.

• Perform service calls for residential and commercial customers.
• Diagnose and resolve issues related to windows, doors, hardware, and other manufactured products.
• Repair, adjust, and replace components as needed.
• Document service activities, repairs, and customer interactions accurately.
• Communicate professionally with customers, contractors, dealers, and internal teams.
• Maintain service tools, equipment, and company vehicles in a safe and organized manner.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with company standards and safety requirements.
• Provide technical support and product education to customers when needed.
• Travel to customer locations throughout the assigned service area.
• Assist with product inspections and warranty evaluations.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Previous experience in service, construction, carpentry, manufacturing, or a related field preferred.
• Strong troubleshooting and problem‑solving abilities.
• Mechanical aptitude and ability to use hand and power tools safely.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.
• Basic computer skills for documentation and reporting.
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical tasks including bending, climbing, and standing for extended periods.

• Experience servicing windows, doors, hardware, or building products.
• Knowledge of residential and commercial construction practices.
• Experience reading technical drawings, specifications, or installation instructions.
