Your Fire Alarm Experience Has a Place Here.

Relay Fire & Safety is growing our fire alarm team in Quincy, and we're looking for experienced Fire Alarm Technicians across both Service and Installation

Maybe you're the technician everyone calls when a system won't cooperate.

Or maybe you've done a little of both.

We're interested in talking to you.

We're building a strong fire alarm team in Greater Boston and have opportunities for technicians with backgrounds in fire alarm service, troubleshooting, inspection, installation, retrofit, programming, and commissioning.

You don't have to fit into one perfect box.

Where Could You Fit?

If your strength is troubleshooting and service, your work may include:

  • Diagnosing and repairing fire alarm system issues
  • Responding to service calls and system deficiencies
  • Troubleshooting panels, devices, circuits, communication issues, and related equipment
  • Performing testing and system verification
  • Completing repairs and system modifications
  • Working directly with customers to explain issues and recommended solutions
  • Maintaining accurate service documentation

If you're more project-oriented, your work may include:

  • Fire alarm system upgrades and retrofits
  • Installing panels, initiating devices, notification appliances, modules, and related equipment
  • Wiring, terminating, testing, and commissioning systems
  • Reading plans, drawings, and specifications
  • Troubleshooting installations during startup and commissioning
  • Coordinating with project teams, customers, and other trades

Have experience across both? Even better.

  • Strong communication and customer service skills
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team
  • Valid driver's license and acceptable driving record

Massachusetts electrical licensing applicable to fire alarm work is required.

Experience with
Edwards / EST systems, including EST3 and EST4
, is especially valuable.

Experience with other major fire alarm platforms is also welcome.

We're building a fire alarm operation in Greater Boston where experienced technicians can do quality work, have a voice, and build a career as the company grows.

At Relay Fire & Safety, you'll have the opportunity to:

  • Work on meaningful commercial fire alarm projects throughout the Greater Boston market

make the world a safer place.

We do that by protecting people and property through quality fire and life safety solutions - and that starts with having great people in the field.

Already Working for a Fire Alarm Company?

Good.

We're not expecting the best technicians in Boston to be sitting around waiting for a job.

If you're doing good work where you are but wondering whether there's a better opportunity out there, we'd still like to talk.

You don't need to have made the decision to leave your current company.

Sometimes a conversation is just a conversation.
