The General Service Technician
- Mechanic is responsible for the inspection, maintenance, troubleshooting, repair, and installation of hospital building systems and mechanical equipment to ensure a safe, reliable, and compliant healthcare environment. This position performs preventive and corrective maintenance on pumps, electric motors, generators, air compressors, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, and other facility infrastructure. The Maintenance Mechanic utilizes diagnostic tools, interprets blueprints and technical schematics, and identifies root causes of equipment failures to minimize downtime and support continuous hospital operations.

Laborer Duties- Repairing door hardware, locks, hinges, and closers
- Adjusting and repairing faucets, toilets, and plumbing fixtures
- Clearing minor drain clogs
- Replacing belts, filters, and lubrication of equipment
- Performing routine inspections of mechanical rooms and equipment
- Patching and repairing drywall
- Painting and touch-up work
- Ceiling tile replacement
- Furniture assembly and minor repairs
- Changing HVAC filters
- Cleaning coils and condensate drains
- Replacing thermostats and sensors
- Unclogging sinks and floor drains
- Repairing handrails, shelving, and wall-mounted equipment
- Preventive maintenance and inspections
- Troubleshooting and diagnostic testing
- Repair and replacement of mechanical components
- Knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
- Engine and Generator Repair, troubleshooting, and servicing

High school diploma (or GED) is required. Completion of a trade school apprenticeship program or higher, preferred.
CERTIFICATES, LICENSES, REGISTRATIONSREQUIRED:
- Preferred (not required for hire but may be required during employment):
Forklift operation certification, lock out tag out, confined space, MSDS, asbestos and lead identification, ladder safety, emergency evacuation, in-house OSHA and respirator training.
Vaid Driver's License required.
EXPERIENCE :- At least three years' experience in either a construction, commercial, industrial, or facilities operations setting.
$36.21- $57.38
